RGR009 - Rimuldar

Our journey brought us south along the eastern shore now, to the town of Rimuldar. You may remember Rimuldar as the place to buy Magic Keys way back when. A mountain range prevented us from walking directly from ship to town, and the enemies were a bit rough, so we were relieved when we made it to town safely, and could just warp there from now on. And since Rimuldar looks to be the closest town to Zoma's castle, we'll likely need to warp here many times in the future.

The people all seemed to have seen Ortega recently, which is in line with what the woman in Tantegel Castle said about nursing him back to health when he arrived. It seems he was trying to bypass the middlemen and go straight for Zoma himself, though he may have been unable to cross the strait where we'll eventually be using the Rainbow Drop to create a bridge. We still have some items to gather before we'll be able to do that, though, and it's looking like we'll be getting one of them from Rubiss, the enchantress who broke the illusion on Hargon's Castle in Dragon Warrior II. She's imprisoned in the tower we passed earlier on our way to Kol.

I'm really beginning to suspect something about how the game's ending is going to play out. Notice how the name Erdrick hasn't come up even once in the entire game?

It's probably because Erdrick doesn't exist. YET.
